Fail Safe / Fail Secure Electric Bolt Lock for Access Control
The SIB L04S is an electric bolt lock with user-selectable fail safe or fail secure operation, providing installers with the flexibility to configure the lock to match the required door security behaviour.
Fail safe (energise to lock) mode releases the bolt when power is removed — suitable for fire escape routes and emergency exit applications. Fail secure (energise to unlock) mode keeps the door locked on power loss — suitable for high-security access points. Operating on 12V DC with a 0.25A run current and 1.2A start-up inrush, the L04S integrates directly with standard access control panels.
