FAQ - Electric Locks
What is the difference between fail-safe and fail-secure?
Fail-safe locks unlock during power loss (for fire safety). Fail-secure locks remain locked during power loss (for maximum security).
How strong are magnetic locks?
Holding forces range from 280kg to 1,200kg. We recommend 280kg for internal doors and 500kg+ for external or high-security doors.
Do electric locks require maintenance?
Electric locks have no moving parts and require minimal maintenance beyond occasional cleaning and connection checks.
